Families

Your child's safety and education are of the utmost importance to Eagle County School District, and we know a strong foundation of communication and cooperation are fundamental to successful student outcomes. It's important to us that our families are informed and involved, and we are dedicated to providing families with the resources they need.

This page contains a few of the items parents and guardians reference most. If you have any school-specific questions or needs, please visit their website and contact their main office directly.

Annual Information Update

Each school year, parents and guardians are asked to update the contact information on file for their students. You will need your student’s snapcode to complete this update. If you have misplaced or did not receive your student’s snapcode, contact your school directly to obtain it. Update the contact information on file for your student(s) using the links below.

Calendars

Online and PDF versions of our district calendar can be found on our Calendars page. School-specific calendars can also be found on school websites.

Community Events

Per the Eagle County School District Flyer Policy, flyers and other promotional information from third-party organizations are NOT sent home with students or via email. The organizer can (at their own expense) deliver literature to schools of their choosing to display in centrally located, designated areas for such materials. These literature stations allow parents (and students) to "opt-in" for this information by choosing to pick it up on their own. In the interest of providing an online platform for events in our community available to our students and families, interested parties can submit their flyer(s) to the Communications Department for inclusion on the Community Events webpage.

Discipline

We intend for our schools to help students achieve maximum development of individual knowledge, skills, and competence and that they learn behavior patterns, which will enable them to be responsible, contributing members of society. Board policies regarding student behavior can be found at the links below.

Lunch Menus

Our Nutritional Services Department ensures all school meals meet the nutritional needs for all students. Lunch menus are developed for each school level (Elementary, Middle, and High), and can be found on our Lunch Menus webpage.

MySchoolBucks

Eagle County School District is transitioning away from MySchoolBucks. Please use SmartSchoolK12 to make payments or purchases. SchoolCafé is still used for lunch payments. At this time, preschool tuition will continue to be processed through MySchoolBucks.

PowerSchool

We use PowerSchool as our student information system to house parent/guardian contact information and student schedules. Learn more about PowerSchool, or login to your PowerSchool account

Register New Students

There are three steps to complete in order to register students new to Eagle County School District (students who are not currently enrolled in an ECSD school or were not enrolled in an ECSD school last year). If your child is currently enrolled in an ECSD-operated preschool, then they will automatically be enrolled in their boundary-determined community school for kindergarten and parents/guardians do not need to register them for kindergarten. Learn more on our Registration page.
2. Complete online pre-registration.
3. Make an appointment with your community school to finalize registration. Find the contact information for your school(s).

SchoolCafé

We use SchoolCafé for all of our cafeteria needs, including applying for Free & Reduced Lunch and managing lunch balances. Learn more about SchoolCafé, or login to your SchoolCafé account.

Smartschoolk12

Schools use SmartSchoolK12 to collect and process fees for things like sports and activities (SchoolCafé is used for lunch payments). This platform allows families to make payments online using a credit or debit card for all of their students across the district. Learn more about SmartSchoolK12.

Volunteer

We are always looking for volunteers to support our schools. In order to volunteer with Eagle County School District schools, complete a volunteer application. Upon completion of the application, a background check, and fingerprints submitted, your information will be added to a Volunteer list available to all schools. If you're interested in volunteering with a specific school, contact the school's front office for upcoming opportunities.
