Eagle County School District (ECSD) is the public school district for Eagle County, Colorado. We offer well-rounded school programs at schools located in the communities of our county. Ninety-seven percent of students attend their community schools. They enjoy being close to home and neighborhood friends, plus benefit from the transportation services offered by Eagle County School District. CHARTER SCHOOLS
Eagle County Schools has one charter school: Eagle County Charter Academy. Admittance to the district’s charter school is through a lottery system that takes place at the beginning of the calendar year in January or February. ECCA is accountable to the Eagle County School District Board of Education and to the same academic performance standards as community schools, but also has its own Board of Education and the flexibility to design their own educational programs and school-based policies.

Red Canyon High School
RCHS is an alternative high school for students who need a different educational environment based on individual student needs. RCHS has two campuses, one in Edwards and one in Gypsum, and requires an interview process for admission.
Vail Ski and Snowboard Academy
VSSA is an athletic magnet school for students wishing to pursue competitive sports. Skiing and snow sports are the most popular competitive sports programs through the school. Requirements for entrance include being accepted as a full-time athlete with Ski and Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV), or another one of VSSA’s partner organizations, and a complete evaluation of the student’s athletic and academic background.
World Academy
WA is our K-12 online learning program that aims to provide students who are looking for a unique learning path with a self-paced, challenging core content curriculum. World Academy partners with Edgenuity.
DUAL LANGUAGE PROGRAMS
Dual language programs offer students the opportunity to become bilingual and biliterate by providing curriculum in both English and Spanish. Avon Elementary, Eagle Valley Elementary, Edwards Elementary, Gypsum Elementary, and Homestake Peak are dual language schools.
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE (IB)
The International Baccalaureate programs focus on international standards and perspectives of learning while supporting students in fully exploring their home culture and language. International Baccalaureate instruction helps develop the intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills in students to prepare them for success in a global economy. The IB program is offered at Eagle Valley Elementary.
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (ECE)
