Kindergarten Information Meetings
Eagle County School District believes in the value and importance of community schools. They serve a specific area and become the hearts of those neighborhoods. Classmates (and their parents) are more likely to be neighbors and have playdates for out-of-school socialization. And, the school can tailor instruction to meet the needs of the community it serves. We pride ourselves on having great community schools in each of our towns from Gypsum to Vail. For parents of incoming kindergarten students, elementary schools host Kindergarten Information Meetings for parents of future students. This is a great opportunity for parents to get to know their community school and teachers to get a general preview.
Our one exception is ECCA. As a charter, they serve the entire county and enroll by lottery instead of by community boundaries. Nevertheless, they become a community for their families, too.
