EVHS Make-A-Wish and Wish Week for Scarlett

Dear Friends and Family of Eagle County Schools,

Can you help us grant a wish for Scarlett?

The students of Eagle Valley High School are raising money to support Make-A-Wish Colorado and their mission to grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses, creating hope, strength and joy. We are adopting Scarlett as the child we are directly supporting to have her wish granted.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to support Scarlett's wish to go on a Disney Cruise. Scarlett is a very kind, sweet, shy, seven-year old. She loves horses. She is a student at Eagle Valley Elementary and the sister of Dom and Isabelle (EVHS Students). She is living with leukemia.

Our student media program (EVTV) put together this great introduction to Scarlett.  Watch this to find out more about Scarlett. Click Here to Watch Scarlett’s Story

Scarlett is a fighter. Each month she travels to Denver for Chemo and other treatments, yet she retains her sense of human and joy for the world. Her childhood is interrupted by this illness. Making her wish come true will help provide her with some normalcy.

We are doing a variety of events at the school over the next week.  At our Make-A-Wish opening assembly we already raised thousands of dollars in a “miracle minute” of student donations of spare change.

Next Thursday, February 15th we will have a closing assembly to present Make-A-Wish with a check to hopefully fully fund Scarlett’s wish.  If you want to give directly and help us reach our goal of $5000 you can donate by using this link.

Thanks for taking the time to read this message.  We are excited to see how much we can do and reach our goal of helping Scarlett’s wish come true!
